Sport Tryout Information
WMS SPRING TRYOUTS
All spring sports start in March. Any player wishing to try out must complete the registration process on Final Forms, which requires a parent and the student to participate. Signing up for Final Forms can be found by clicking the Final Forms link on the WMS athletics page. If your child is selected to participate on a team, a sports physical is required for them to participate further.
Below is the list of tryout dates and times. Students are only allowed to try out for one team per season. Athletes should attend all the tryouts.
Baseball ***Subject to Change***
Monday March 30th: 4:00-5:30, WMS Gym or Baseball Field (Be prepared to be inside or outside)
Tuesday March 31st: 4:00-5:30, WMS Gym or Baseball Field (Be prepared to be inside or outside)
Wednesday April 1st: 4:00-5:30, WMS Gym or Baseball Field (Be prepared to be inside or outside)
***All athletes trying out should wear baseball pants and an athletic shirt for tryouts. All athletes trying out should bring baseball cleats, sneakers (depending on the tryout location), and a water bottle. All players trying out for baseball should be prepared to go outside and should dress for the weather. The date of cuts will be determined depending on the amount of athletes that try out.
Softball ***Subject to Change***
Monday March 30th: 2:30-4:00, WMS Gym or Baseball Field (Be prepared to be inside or outside)
Tuesday March 31st: 2:30-4:00, WMS Gym or Baseball Field (Be prepared to be inside or outside)
Wednesday April 1st: 2:30-4:00, WMS Gym or Baseball Field (Be prepared to be inside or outside)

Track (WMS Upper Field) ***Subject to Change***
Track will begin the week of Monday, April 6th.
8th graders will start Monday, April 6 (7th graders will not attend this practice.) 7th graders will start Tuesday, April 7 (8th graders will not attend this practice.) All athletes will attend the 8th and 9th.
Athletes should bring shorts, pants, an athletic shirt, sneakers, and water to practice. Track is not a try-out sport. All athletes that come out to practice make the team. Any student who tries out for another team, but does not make that team, can join the track team up until April 10th. The team and practices are open to all student-athletes. Student-athletes are not required to attend meets. Practices are Monday-Thursday from 2:45-4:00 during the season unless the team has a meet.
**Please note that not all athletes will need to qualify to compete in meets. The top 6 runners and throwers in each event will be assigned to events first.
